POSITIVELY!
I have worked and lived in several nations world wide.
In all societies I have associated with, the average person IS very good.
It seems Politics gets in the way of civil accord.
It is an important but divisive matter. It is as divisive as opposing religions. (And lack of religion.)

the U.S.A.is the BEST nation in the world when it comes to tolerance, even though we do have problems.
Many other nations have fewer problems simply because they DO NOT TOLERATE different views and ELIMINATE them. (I'll Cite recent denials of homosexuality in Iran as an example. If it doesn't exist in Iran, it is only because it is ELIMINATED.)
NOT my choice of solutions. Tolerance is troublesome but is the best solution to cultural differences and those differences are what provide interest and variety to LIFE!
Humanity needs to GROW UP and LIVE.

No. Mayhem and destruction for all! There's 6 billion people and rising, and the earth isn't getting any bigger!

I kid. I hope the same as you mentioned. I just thought it funny that it's phrased like a question, as if there could be a dissenting view.

No. The question is really the 'should'. By who's authority? Research the word and you will find a Norse God named Skuld whom all things of 'should' were tied in accord to. As Skuld would want it. There is no 'should', sucka. What will be will be.
