Depends on the jurisdiction.

Some states never remove a DUI conviction, others have varying times for the information to be removed from your DMV report.

Well, it depends on what state you live in but here in California it is 11 years. After that time though and you have remained DUI FREE you can go to a judge and have your record expunged. I'm not positive I used the exact word they used with me but it is something like that EXPUNGED.....meaning clear the record of past offences. It can and has been done.

California is 10 years. It will always be there though. They just cant use it against you.

if you were convicted of DUI / DWI it is on your police record for ever..
