all dramatic performances deal with conflict, it is the essential element of a play. so you have a playwriting assignment with no instruction on how to write a play or a scene? Is your teacher an idiot? Playwriting is the most difficult kind of writing in the world. Now for your assignment, remember a time when you wanted to do something with someone and your mom or dad or older sibling prevented you from doing it? If now, imagine such a situation.
