Like when he is floating in outer space beside the spaceship, and then he really needs to. Is the fart gonna float around in that little space so he can bask in his own glory, or does it get separated from the air he breaths in somehow?

There is a small Lithium Hydroxide cannister with an activated carbon filter in the suit that will reduce the methane and filter the odors.

Since it is located between the 'source' and his nose, chances are he won't even notice.

You should stop watching this movie and get alive. That is something that will also happen to Steve-O. It is just your choice WHERE it happens to you. Also I am not sure if the vacuum of space could find any brain in the Jackas# cast. Compared to this trash, Twilight is an average movie. Also, there might be a reason why Steve-O is doing stupid stuff for TV instead of being astronaut...

1. Space food is specifically designed to produce little waste and no waste gases. Meaning there is no "fartability" in space food.

2. Astronauts are highly trained individuals who spend months in training learning how not to fart. (Watch the movie "The Right Stuff" and pay close attention to the two astronauts with the tubes up their butts going down the hall way. That was "No Farting 101.")

3. For civilian astronauts such as the "Teacher in Space" program, they just stick a cork in so they can't fart even if they wanted to. Civilians have no self control.

There is a gasket between the helmet and the rest of the suit. The gas would remain in the suit, but never get to the head, so they wouldn't smell it.

The astronaut would suffer a mild to severe infarction depending upon his/her diet.
