Restaurant prices reflect so many different variables such as how good the cook or chef is (if it is a chef, the price goes up a bit), ambiance, type of restaurant (ranging in formal complete with cloth napkins and tablecloth or very informal). Omelet prices vary according to how many eggs are used and the variety of and amount of the ingredients, as well as to what is served with it - biscuits, toast, etc. If the omelet was delicious, it was worth the cost.

As others have mentioned, it depends on where it was. If you were staying at a decent hotel (Marriott Courtyard and up), then $11 for breakfast isn't bad. If you just went someplace downtown, might be the same thing. If you paid that while at Denny's or Waffle House, you got hosed.

yes, that is crazy. You could buy a dozen eggs, a package of sausage and 24 slices of cheese for half that.

OR for half that you could get a value meal at Lion's choice.

Just an omelet? Yes. I pay $6 and it comes with toast and home fries.

I think it depends on the place. If it was a top restaurant, then unfortunately no. If it is just a regular place, then yes.

How was it? Was it at least good?

Yes that is way too high. Even with toast and coffee and juice I would not pay that much.
