I have Y!A OCD.
Perhaps we will create a support group, I think a few of us need it. =P

My teenage daughter is OCD and it was always just a unique quirk of hers. She counts things around her in her head, hates germs, fixes stuff like an inventor and she notices minor details like Monk. She reminds me a lot of that tv detective. She didnt have any issues with her OCD until she hit highschool. Then it became overwhelming. She couldnt focus on the classwork because she was worried about the desks not lining up in rows. Then it escalated and the notes she took in class she rewrote 3 and 4 times. She couldnt do art assignments, because the details were never right. When she began to cry about her quirks I knew it was time for her to get help. The medication treats her ocd, but doesnt cure it. She still sees the details, but it doesnt frustrate her and i noticed she doesnt really feel like she has to "fix" things around her. She tells us how she notices things and we usually crack up. I can imagine that some people will never need medication for OCD and that it may be that my daughter will not need it in the future, but my family is really glad the option is out there so she can accomplish the things she wants to in life.

I don't even think OCD is the problem--it's more like an addiction! It's terrible! I can't do homework anymore, and I'll be up until 3 am on a school night on Y!A. I have family who are neglecting their jobs, their bills, and even their families in favor of Y!A.

If I don't get a chance to go on Y!A at least once per day, I go through withdrawal symptoms.

This is what it must be like to be a crack addict...

OMG I do! Whenever I asked a question I was like obsessed with checking the answers and now I don't ask that many questions so it has gone away.

I've only asks one question, but I get obsessed over the answers I give. It has to say the right thing.
But I already have OCD anyway, so I can't say that it's Y!A's fault.

I keep one tab open with my account to look for new feedback and one tab open with LGBT to answer new questions. Another tab to explore and see if there is anything interesting floating around elsewhere in answers.
