I got my paraguard iud out in july of this year, sice then i have not recived a normal period, i have only been spotting for a few days, i belive my last normal period was in july before i got the iud taken out, in august i was over two weeks late for my period and went to the doctor and got a blood pregnancy test done it came back neg. few days after that is when i spotted for 2 days normally my cycle is 5 days. Then in Septemeber i started spotting about a week early and it was brown (eww i know sorry) and one light day pinkish red then it stoped all togther I have no idea whats going on has anyone have this happen to them?

The iud i got contained no hormones,
i will be 25 next week so i am pretty sure it's not menapause!

The brown is only old blood left over from last month, no worries. Sometimes it takes up to six months before you have a normal period. I think you are fine but if you really are concerned call your Dr. 's office and ask the nurse.

What is your age?? i dont know much about iud, but i do know that not having a normal period is common once ya reach a certain age, i do know that the brown your talking about is blood that comes from your uterus. check out knowmenapause.com

My first thought is that your body is still adjusting to the new (actually lack of) horomones that were in the iud.

However, if there is a possibility of pregnancy, then you should take a test. It might also be time that you went back to the doc.

It will take about 6 months for your cycles to be normal again

i would try to go to another doctor and a gynocoligist also you could have had a miscarige
