Heyy! Hold on!

That is sooo wierd. I love Scott Westerfeld and I just finished the fourth book in the Uglies trilogy. I haven't read Peeps but I am definitely going to hopefully. I read Midnighters and it was pretty good too. I love him he's awesome. I have actually emailed him more than once. The first time was when I was asking him if he could pretty preety please make another Uglies book. He rocks! I emailed him again recently about the fourth book and how it was great but I want more books on Tally... lol.Anyway, I also emailed him about the movie. I totally want to try out.. lol. Anywho my other favorite author is Stephanie Meyer.. She rocks. The characters like come alive in the books it is sooooo cool!!!!!! I also like Libba Bray's writing. I love the writers that write my favorite books and I have like ten so this is just off the top of my head lol.

Oh my! What a broad question! I have so many answers! Of course, I love to read, so of course there are lots of authors I like.

I love Stephenie Meyer and Buddy Youngreen as far as modern day romance goes most.
Then of course there are J.K Rowling, Christopher Paolini, Tamora Pierce. They wrote some great books too!
Sometimes the best authors are the old ones, though! Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Louisa May Alcott.... Three cheers for the classics! Old books will always be the best and have a special place in my heart!

Joanne Katherine Rowling.
(Of course it's Harry Potter)

It's really the only series that ever
caught my full, direct attention. It
shows how the governments of the
world can react to bad events and how
it can try to cover up things until something
is actually proven true. She demonstrates
how bad journalism and media really
affects those who endulge it, mainly because
they have nothing else to truly believe in;
when the facts are shown they're either covered
up with more lies or some are tempted to finally
accept the truth. It also ties in with bits on love
and the aspects of war. War can bring people
together and also tear them apart. With Harry's
character, the book shows how people mature
through the years and when they learn right from
wrong along with having to make the right choices
for the better, even if it is hard.

Throwing in a bit of magic was awesome too,
it just shows that even with magic the world wouldn't
get better - it would more than likely just be worse.

Christopher Paolini (he's writing the Inheritance Trilogy...two of his books are out, now: Eragon and Eldest)

Richard Peck is another good young adults author (he wrote Amanda/Miranda, Are You In The House Alone? and This Family of Women)

Madeleine L'Engle. Her books are enjoyable for virtually any age group -- I read A Wrinkle in Time for the first time at age seven, and plan on rereading it again soon (I'm 19).
