Hey,
I thought Lance Briggs was not going to play this year?
He was going to sit out the first 10 games.
Or something.
What happened?
Why is he now playing?

Lance Briggs got smart and realized the only one who really got hurt if he sat out was him. He signed a one year deal under the franchise tag and reported to camp on time. As a Bear's fan I have lost a ton of respect for him. They ONLY wanted to franchise him and pay him in the top 5 linebackers IN THE LEAGUE and that isn't enough? He wants to make more than Urlacher, the face of the team and a guy who is a much bigger impact player than Briggs. I hope he leaves the Bears and you don't hear from him again. I guess he never heard of Rosie Colvin, who had the same thing happen to him.

He signed a one year tender offer as long as he is not franchised next year and he play in 75% of the defensive snaps this season.

Can't afford too. Need that paycheck. If teams want him to sign a long term extension he has to play.
