Take off the political. Yes, you can laugh at yourself and maybe find it funny. Is it so fun to make fun of others and laugh at them? Would you want others to make fun of your kids and not feel offended by it? Do you really need to make fun of people to have a sense of humour? It all boils down to you.

I'm with you 100%, 20 years ago we almost took pride in being able to laugh at ourselves, now it has become illegal! Some weeks ago I asked the question (on here) "can someone please define political correctness", I have yet to receive a sensible answer!

Sadly..its this thats tearing this place apart...just you wait till it gets closer to Christmas when the next thing I'll be hearing is theyve banned the Schools Nativity play bcz others find it offending, I mean...for crying out aloud..Im of indian origin...and that was PART of my childhood and growing up.

I agree with you. People who are over sensitive, overly PC, and cry racism everytime something about race is said, regardless of how light-hearted and harmless it is, get on my nerves.

Unfortunately, political correctness is needed due to people who take bigotry and stereotyping too far. If it weren't for those people, yes I believe we would all be able to just take our differences in stride.
