then why can you not just tickle yourself?? That's right...........you can't!! But, do you know what the mental process is that stops you from being ticklish from your own hand?? (OK, doubt me.... go ahead and get it over with.......there, see, nothing happened did it??) First 'real' answer gets 10 points.

Nice answer, Uni, and right on the mark. Harder stuff to follow. But, this was not supposed to be an 'open book' test. There is a difference between just reciting the 'clinical' definition and understanding the implications associated with this behavior. ;-)

Nice try Ozz, but not quite the same. The bottom of the human foot, much like the other bipeds, are very sensitive to 'any' touch. This is rather a protection mechanism than a tickle sensation. The nerve endings in the bottom of your feet are extra sensitive and you perceive this as a 'tickle' reflex, which it is really not.
