$11K is too much for that car with those miles. I would offer about $8900.
Who is this Scion guy saying there is no profit from the price? Do you think a dealership is in business to not make a profit? That makes no sense.
Additionally, dealers make much more profits from used cars than new cars. The used Scion is negotiable, even if the new ones are not. If the dealer won't budge off of the $11K, take your business to another dealer.

I really like the xA's. They're reliable, easy-to-own cars.
The only thing you might look into is...the starting price on brand new ones isn't all that much more than that price. If 11,000 is your cap, then a used one is the ticket. The brand new ones start at 13,400 so if you can pay a little more, I'd get into a new one.
What do you think of the xB? It isn't for everyone, but they do have a lot more passenger space. I drove one and was shocked by how much room there is. I really enjoyed the test-drive. The trunk is small, but the rest of the car feels like a mid-size. The visibility from the driver's seat is amazing. The looks even grew on me. I'd drive one.

I would recommend buying a 2005 Scion xA, but you should also consider buying a 2008 Scion xD. I think you're better off buying a newer model because it is more reliable.

That is a good deal since being introduced, there is not profit from price. It is on a Echo frame with echo engine. Alot of Scion option are avaiable like super charger, cold air, Borla exhaust, stereo syatems, rims and tiresm graphics ect. The best part is that it is Toyota and with maintance done regulary, you could get 300,000-? miles on car with no major problems. Mpg is average 36.

It was not built top notch like you would expect out of Toyota neither were the materials top shelf for its class. I would agree with the first guy to look at the Tc or even look at some VW models like the GTI.

look on autotrader.com and cars.com and compare the xa you are looking at to the ones you see on here. it will give you a good idea if they have it priced right. you can also go to edmunds.com and price the car to see what they say it is worth.
