Yes I will.
Not because I'm a Holy Roller or Bible Thumping Christian...
I would even shop from a store that say's Happy Chanikka ( spelling- sorry Jewish buds..)
I don't like the fact that they have successfully replaced the birth of Christ with gift giving and shopping madness... They then want to take Christmas out of it totally?
Why don't they just call it "BUY SOME STUFF SO YOUR KIDS WILL LIKE YOU DAY!"
Costco has Christmas stuff up already... Jesus!

Will I boycott stores that don't say "Merry Christmas"?
Of course not; I'm not a moron.
After all, if stores recognize that there's more than one holiday at that time of year, that's just being business-wise.
BTW, did you know that the web site of the biggest proponent of the "War on Christmas," Bill O'Reilly himself, year before last was offering "Holiday" ornaments for "your holiday tree" -- until the blogosphere got wind of it and they had to change it to "Christmas" ornaments and trees.
Why?
Because even the morons at Faux news figured a buck is a buck -- even if it comes from the pocket of a non-Christian. Except that having the web site of their Champion or Moronitude using expressions that presupposed that there are non-Christians with money made them look silly, since he'd invented the idea that acknowleging other holidays was evil.
When I was growing up, in the days before PC, the expressions "Season's Greetings" and "Happy Holidays" were common and uncontroversial.
Why?
Because every American whose IQ is bigger than his shoe size knew that, beginning with Thanksgiving, and going straight through until New Year's Day was a time known as the Holiday Season. A time of partying and frequent celebrations, when we in the northern hemisphere ward off dark by putting up lights, and deal with the cold with fatty feasts and warm sippies, companionship and good cheer.
But then the Hate Everyone squad came around, and those lovely traditions were turned into a Fascist loyalty test.
Yes, there are anti-American, heartless, brainless brutes who think that Americans who don't worship Santa should be deported or slaughtered.
I am not among them.
What with not being a brain-dead, anti-American, heartless, brutal sub-human and all.
And you?

The real question is: Will you boycott stores that exploit and manipulate a sacred holiday for monetary gain?
If you really want to celebrate Christmas, then don't buy anything from ANY store. For anyone. Instead, gather your family on the 25th, go to Church, and spend the day talking and bonding. The materialism of the holiday season was spawned from capitalism, anyway; Christmas was just the conduit they used.
If, on the other hand, Christmas isn't a religious time for you, then why does it matter what they call it? Why would you refuse to shop at stores that attempt to accommodate all belief systems and try not to make their customers feel alienated? Why would you want to force your religion of love and acceptance on everyone?

Not only will I not boycott, but I might boycott stores that do - if they start at the same time they put up their decorations (2 + months ahead of time).
But that's for their own safety. If I had to hear that constantly for months before the actual blessed event, I might go postal on them.
On a more serious note, the Xmas gestapo members realize that "Happy Holidays" includes Christmas, right?

Nope. I'll shop at stores that say "Happy Holidays!" "Merry Christmas!" "Happy Hanukkah!" or "Happy Kwanzaa!" because it's up to the store what they say. Do you really want to FORCE your beliefs on them and their customers? Being all inclusive isn't a bad thing. If a store says "Happy Holidays" they're just covering all the bases. They don't have to guess what religion you are. Aren't you starting this nonsense a bit early? There is NO "war" on Christmas.

I'll shop a store if it doesn't specifically mention Christmas. I'm confident enough in my religious convictions that I don't need to have it re-inforced everywhere I go.
By the way, are you equally perturbed that most employers do not offer holiday pay for Easter or when people say "Happy Valentine's Day" instead of "Happy St. Valentine's Day"?

I thought we were past this. Last year proved that more stores didn't care about the PC and had begun to say Merry Christmas again.
If the store dosn't make a big deal about it, neither will I.

Are you talking about banners saying "Merry Christmas" or salesclerks and cashiers who don't say "Merry Christmas"? Your question is a little confusing...
I shop at stores that have the gift ideas I'm looking for, for other people. Period.

I'll shop at whatever place has the best prices.
I don't expect them to say Merry Christmas. If on the other hand they get shut down for saying "Merry Christmas" I'll give them every dime of business I can muster.
