because of the other team's colors!

kidding.

because rooting for hometeams is meaningless nowadays. none of the players on the team are from the town.

you would root for your own back in the days, now you just choose because of family tradition, one player on that team, or any other arbitrary reason.

ask your self, why do you like your team? and is that the only criteria for choosing a team? is your criteria more important than someone elses?

root root root for the hometeam is dead.

I don't think that more people like other NFL teams over their hometown's. Ever been to Pittsburgh? Or Philly? Or Green Bay? Those places love their respective teams. San Francisco and Oakland have great hometown fans. Not everyone is going to love their hometown team, but I personally believe the majority like their hometown team over others.

I can only speak for myself and say that though the Vikings are totally my favorite team from way back, the fact is that I live in Indy now where the Vikings are hardly ever shown. On the positive side, I must admit I like the Colts because it really is a class organization. BUT, anytime the Colts play the Vikings, its a no-brainer who I root for.

Most people don't live in a town that has a football team. I live about half way between the chargers and the niners/raiders. I picked my team because they were the worst in football at the time and drafted one of my all-time favorite college football players that eventually went on to be one of the biggest busts of all time.

Loyalty and pride has dwindled. I've been a Saints fan for years, so this year is nothing new. I can't imagine rooting for any other teams. GO SAINTs and TIGERS

I don't. All NFL teams pale in comparison to the Steelers. I just despise some teams more than others.
