Since you asked dear, let's look at some of the things liberal Democrats have been advocating. And I'll use your definition to illustrate.

-A person who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards and customs of society, especially one who advocates extreme liberalism in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles.-

Conventional standards considered same sex acts as deviant. Liberal Democrats want those acts considered normal.

For longer than the Democrat party has existed marriage was defined as the union of two people of opposite genders. Liberal Democrats not only want to change what marriage is but rewrite the dictionaries as well.

And just for YOUR information this conservative recognises there used to be a bunch of Conservative Democrats. but most of them are either dead today or run out of the party by those advoactes of extreme liberalism of all kinds.

Well, in all honesty, not all democrats fall under the definition of democrat, nor do all republicans fall under the definition of republican. Modern liberals certainly don't fall under the definition of liberal, or classical liberalism.

Hippes and Democrats share some things, such as a hatred of war, and a distrust of tradition. Religion is constantly being denegrated by democrats, as a hippie would do. Family values are discouraged, and in their place is taught that homosexual relationships are no different than heterosexual relationships. The order of the day for a hippie is, "Do what feels good," and that bears some similarities with modern democrats, in my opinion.

A lot of Demcorats are conservatives. I have seen many democrats here suggest they want all of the illegal aliens out of this country but their party disagrees with them (same with the Republicans actually). The problem is the Democratic Party is beholden to the far left liberal extremist that would curtail free speech (fairness doctrine), open the border, and willingly lose the war (cut and run).

It is called marginalizing. If you cannot dispute positions in the political arena the next course is almost always to attempt to discredit. Unfortunately both sides have become pretty good at this lately. Mudslinging has always been a staple for politicians, but it is distressing how many average people have now jumped into the fray with both feet. It seems that basic levels of mutual respect are slowly becoming a thing of the past in our society.

I agree with netjr. I usually vote on the Democratic ticket, but I definitely DO NOT call myself a liberal or a "communist" like some would say. Nor do I go around spitting on our servicepersons. I strongly support enforcing the immigration deal...if your not a citizen, you dont get the rights. I strongly support our military...if it wasnt for the military we wouldnt exist, enough said there and it is true. I vote on the issues not by party, something I think more US citizens should be doing. If you really want change...start by changing your attitudes and unite as ONE NATION...not all this stupid divided crap over liberal/conservative.

Kind of the same way many Libs call Cons rednecks or Country Clubers. There are closed minded people mainly idiots in both parties who sadly have taken over politics in America.

Let's see Hippies did not like to work, they loved smoking the good sh*t. They wanted anything that was free, communes, free love, partytime. They wanted to live on welfare (redistribute the wealth), socialistic ideals, big government to control the country. Yeah, unconventional! Where does that differ from todays Democrat?

I'm a Conservative who knows that not all hippies are evil enough to be Democrats. I read where you said we should watch what we say about Hillary. Don't threaten me...

in case you seem up the term classical liberalism you will locate that it incredibly is fairly much the conservative line on the instant. limited government and capitalism are its considerable tenets. The liberal line on the instant is huge government it fairly is all issues to each physique and something yet capitalism. innovations and definitions evolve and alter each and every of the time and likely the rustic has grew to become the different way up. Robert Byrd grew to become into in the KKK and grew to become right into a Democrat. Liberals of on the instant are illiberal of something conservative or diverse from their liberal line which we in the South are too sensible and notice precise by way of your hypocrisy of "tolerance".

There's nothing to confuse. I've got a picture of Bill and Hillary Clinton back in 1970 and if they weren't hippies, I'll eat your hat. Liberals and hippies are one and the same.
