Its a great age to take kids, they are portable and still sleep allot. If you are breastfeeding its even easier.
- just take enough nappies for the journey and first day, until you can buy some over there.
- On the plane, put your change bag in the hold above your head, you'll already be restricted for space with little un on your lap, and keep 1 nappy sack out with 1 nappy & wipes in it, in teh little bit where the mags are kept. When baby needs changing just take this small bag to the change table in the toilet, and when you get back to your seat, hand baby to fellow traveller, while you restock another nappy sack for the next change.
- Also, if baby is sleeping, (and you dont have a sky cot) if you lay a magazine to join 2 food tables up, put a blanket down, baby could sleep on top, to giev your arms a rest. obviuosly you need to keep a close on them!
These tips were all passed onto me, and I found them very helpful.
Good luck and enjoy!

If you are BFing, that would be best, otherwise you need to use bottled water to make sure baby doesn't get sick. Stay relaxed and pack simple. Stay consistant with baby's regular routine. Bring a blanket or lovey that might help baby sleep away from home, or a lullaby cd... Do you have a baby carrier, a wrap or mei tai or pouch? The couple of trips I have been on with my son, he wants to be held-A LOT! It is a lot easier than dragging a stroller around and if the little-one gets upset, you (or grandma:) can carry her around with ease! Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

I flew to Europe with my 6 month previous and it became high-quality. carry blankets, replace of garments (for you and toddler!), bottle feed throughout take off and landing. And one great one I discovered, carry some gasoline drops. now and returned the stress adjustments will hassle toddler's tummy, so gasoline drops will help do away with that extra effective stress develop!! additionally, in case you will get a bulkhead seat the airplanes in many cases have basinettes that connect with the bulkhead (verify with the airline!)so which you will placed toddler down whilst she's snoozing. promises a ruin, yet you do no longer ought to spend the money on a 2d seat!

When you fly your babies ears will hurt during take off and landing. The best way to prevent this is to feed the baby a bottle or breast feed. Also if mom has a small glass of wine prior to flight it'll relax mom and baby. If at all possible try to get a flight that falls right around babies nap time. Enjoy your Trip.

well, going on a plane shouldn't be a problem because their sinuses aren't developed, and they can't walk so they won't feel the urge to run around yet....just bring something to calm them down. and lots of diapers.
