Yes, more and more people are deciding not to have children or to wait to have children. Used to it was expected that people would get married and have children and that was the only way to be truly happy or successful. More people are realizing today that it isn't necessarily the case.
I think it is very important that you are up front about this, when you get into any relationship that looks like it may be serious because when one wants kids and the others don't, it is usually a deal breaker.

Yes it is.
I'm very, very picky myself (about other things not kids).
You have to open and honest about your expectations and be willing to walk away from a relationship with someone who doesn't share your views. Even if they are willing to change for you because this will only lead to resentment in the end. I'm not saying that you should great everyone you meet with "Hi! I don't want kids, EVER." But when the subject does come up be honest with him.

Mindi, very possible to find someone with same ideas as yours. But be careful because I work with young people in trouble with the law and many of the females that I work with used to talk the same as you. Here we are 10 years later and all of them are mothers and very proud of it. One day at a time we are to live and through this your mind can change and you too may someday be known as Mommy to an ankle biter. Best of luck in finding someone who shares the same interest as you at present.

1st of all why wouldn't you want kids??? They are the most special thing in the entire world, and you have no idea what you will miss out on! Anyway, yes there are people like you, you just have to look hard enough.

It's possible, or you may find someone who already has them and doesn't want anymore. Or, you may change your mind entirely in time. (The possibilities are endless right now...)

sure, alot of men don't want children either. Just make sure you both are sure so one doesn't change their mind later in the relationship
