For sanitary reasons, thongs(shower shoes) are forbidden, but you should have something like HUGE CAT SLIPPERS on to protect the toes!
One of my kids works in a formal situation but on casual Friday's goes to work with holey jeans and wrinkled shirts, things I wouldn't be caught wearing in public. His remark to me is: "Mom, they hired me for my mind, not my looks."

I have never done anything that extreme
one day I was late getting to school so I ended up going in my pjs.
People didnt get why I was wearing a HUGE Britney Tour shirt and pink checked flannel pants
I luckily went home during lunch and got changed
and one day I was almost late and put a jersey on without a tank top and everyone could see my bright pink bra and i also put my body through the leg hole of my underwear. THAT HURT!!

Maybe they're just jealous because you can pull off a thong and they can't. I'm guessing that's why you're getting the looks. They're all haters. ; )
