Because liberalism is entirely based on emotion...whatever we deeply "feel" is the answer to every problem...usually we "feel" like spending other peoples' money, but so be it.
Edit--Twenty-two thumbs down, I am rockin the house today!! Woo-hoo...

I see this statement all the time, thrown around by both sides. Who's sound facts and logic? It really does depend who's foot the shoe is on. I personally believe in a very minimal government, one that stays out of my personal life. I don't want anyone telling what to believe I am quite capable of making up my own mind. I believe not only in the letter of the Constitution but the meaning behind those letters and I served 9 years defending those rights for everyone. To be quite truthful none of the presidents I served under were or ever will be worth one drop of blood of any service member I served with and I don't believe anyone of them truly gave a damn about America except for the prestige they got from being president and that includes the moron in office now.

Research, research, research! They are still saying that Rush Limbaugh disrespected our men and women in uniform, yet, by their own mouths they don't listen to him, and what they did was take out of context what the man said. They quote a transcript from the next day were he was referencing what he said a day prior. Liberals will claim, until their death that they are right even if it was proved differently. They get all emotional instead of using their God given thought processes.
They cannot rationalize, like yesterdays Democrats, (Kennedy was one) to cut taxes increases discretionary spending. This increase allows business to expand, both large and small businesses profit from this and thus increasing jobs. The more jobs, the more taxes. Why redistribute the wealth when we can all be productive?
Why do they think Big Government is a solution to anything? To Control the people? Why do we need to be controlled? To limit freedom?
I don't understand their logic either!

You want to talk logic? "Why do liberals immediately jump to the emotional part of a debate rather than discussing issues logically?" You've debated every liberal on the planet and found this to be true? If not, you're guilty of a gross over generalization. Do you think conservatives are incapable of exploiting emotion for the purpose of distracting from logical arguments? "We don't want the smoking gun to come in the form of a mushroom cloud." Does that ring a bell? Personally, I think the tactic of "walking in someone elses shoes" is a good, logical way of testing the validity of an idea. If you are thinking of imposing a rule or law on someone that you wouldn't like to have imposed on you. Chances are it's not a good rule or law. Basically, you're saying the Golden Rule is to emotional for you. Conservatives and liberals have my respect. By your arguments I can tell you're one of the proudly ignorant so you don't.

At the end of the day it is the conservative solutions that will benefit everyone over the long term than to employ the quick fix of the liberal.
So, how would running a record deficit over the long term address issues such as healthcare, immigration or racial inequities?

Bring up REAL issues and see what happens. All I ever see is bait and gotcha from both sides. You talk about facts and logic but provide none yourself. Remember there are 2 sides to every issue and just because the other side has the audacity to dare disagree with you doesn't mean they aren't being logic nor particularly emotional any more or less than you are. The problem with conservatives is they tend to see the world only in black and white, right or wrong, my way or the highway and are not willing to accept the fact that there might actually be other valid viewpoints.

I'm a Political Science major and this is a VERY open-ended and probably a party-lined question and statement the you put forth...its almost pointless in entertaining the roots of the issue because you reached conclusion long ago, but I'll bite =)
Your statement is not necessarily fair or accurate...there are some that rely on emotion in debates, but both sides are guilty of that. Furthermore, a person's struggle is often both fact and logic for attempting to empathize with a particular situation.

Actually, its your conservative solutions that are the quick fix and our emotional frustration over the fact that you just DON'T GET IT! I'm all about logic! I don't think we should take guns away from everybody, just the people that don't understand that they're tools, not weapons (military use excluded). You know, all you conservatives bring about the constitution when it comes to gun control, even though we try to tell you its time to modify, but the second someone brings up same sex marriage you're all about changing the constitution so that it specifically states "man and woman." Well, why don't we change the part on bearing arms.
Did that answer your question?
Oh, and don't even try to say that Ann Coulter is all about logic!

@Typo and @RosieTheRiveter: How have you ever addressed the question? How have you ever easily aided the Questioner to the two understand the themes raised, or to work out a distinctive attitude, or be directed to the information sought? thank you for "sharing" your evaluations. yet might it no longer be extra heavily following "the community rules" to truly grant data or figures or clarifications, than purely expressing your faith-based (unsupported by actuality) evaluations? As to my wager at an answer: IMHO, i've got faith "liberals": are extra hopeful with regards to the "hearts of adult adult males" in that liberals act as though they're easily handling actual looking and prudent adult adult males who're striving to respectfully work together in rational talk. IMHO, liberals are relatively naive in this present day-and-age! IMHO, the neo-Cons are no longer truthful nor respectful nor prudent. Treating them as though they have been "taking part in truthful" is a thank you to political ruin and private unhappiness. IMHO, in case you haven't any longer have been given any data to assist "your area" of an argument then all you're able to do is introduce area-themes, attack the persons on the different area with faulty, even untrue statements, and "fall decrease back" on faith and emotion expressed as loudly and as today as you may muster! Please, if i'm faulty, do set-me-rapidly, utilising links to data and figures. pass the relationship with faith-based "information" please!

Triteamd gives you the reason in his answer. He wants you to give facts, yet his answer states the names Bill-O and Pill-O and something about a logical statement about black "resataurants" and phony soldiers that he asks you if that is what you are referring to. Logically, you asked about liberals who answer emotionally. He answered with Bill-O and Pill-O and their statement about Black Resturants and phony Soldiers. Conclusion based on his arguement is that Bill-O and Pill-O are Liberals and their statements about Black Resturants and phony soldiers are based on Emotioins, or maybe based on Logic. Not clear since he was answering a question with a question. I think he was quite emottional and not very logical.

OK, you have said your piece. I am neither liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, I vote for the best person for the job. Liberals can raise excellent points, but conservative ignore the question and boo hoo the facts presented. Conservatives seem to me not to have arguments but one sided facts to support their side. Their mouth engages before their brain. Liberals lately are just reacting to the Conservative rhetoric. Liberals would be better off acting instead of reacting. Congress is no different now than it was under Republican control. It is petty, undeceive, and ineffective.
The facts are both sides use faulty logic and one sided facts.
