I understand that entertainment news has its place, and that many are fascinated with celebrities, but it seems inexplicable how inane stories that do not affect our lives can be front page breaking news - even on cnn.com.
Should the media take responsibility for what content is highlighted or is it legitimate for them to just cater to what people are most interested in?

People are in awe of a superstar going down. It's a shame for the kids to be without a mom, and such a loser for a father.
