This is not a joke and is not a perversion so serious answers only please. Lately when my husband and I are making love I get a searing headache as soon as I orgasm. It's blindinly painful. It's not a realtionship thing or psychosomatic as we have a wonderful marriage. I'm just curious to know if there is a physiological answer that could explain it from someone who has experienced this.

YES!! I have gotten them before, especially if it is a really intense orgasm. Usually if I hold still for a second afterward, I am okay, but if I sit up or move it is a killer. I think it has to do with blood circulation. I also notice I hold my breath when that moment comes(no pun intended) and then when I breathe it is like a knife thru my skull. I, for whatever reason, don't think it is dangerous or harmful, but it is uncomfortable. Do yours last or stay with you or like mine, go away shortly? If they stay it could be something more serious. I am not a doctor or anything even close, but I think the intensity and the way you breathe and the circulation attribute to loss of blood flow to the brain which also causes loss of oxygen which definitely causes headaches.

I used to have that problem - until I was almost 30 and someone suggested it might be dehydration. Sounds too easy, right?

That's what It was for me - once I started making sure I had plenty of water before and during a session, I stopped having them.

I only do if I get up right away afterwards. If I remain lieing down for a while, I don't get a headache.

I guy i dated once was like that. Bad headaches after we had sex. Turns out that he was holding his breathe to long. Sounds simple but when making love you don't realise your doing it until someone mentions it.

Next time you have sex with your husband just ask him whether he notices you holding your breath. And remember to breath during sex...

Yes, especially after several times. It's just the level of physical stress your body undergoes.

yeah try lying down for a good while afterwards. that always helps me. i have found that it will even help my headaches go away if i have one before then.

I never get any, if anything, I find that it helps my head aches. It might be the blood circulation though.
