Each child is different. There's no saying when exactly their sleeping pattern/s will change.

My oldest was sleeping through the night at 1 month but my youngest didn't sleep through the night till he was about 6 months.

This is too variable to really answer. Some babies sleep all night after a month or two, some kids are still waking at night well into their second year of life. It totally depends on the baby. "Through the night" is defined as a 5 hour stretch, usually from midnight to 5am, and this typically happens within the first four months. My definition of "through the night" is 10-12 hours, and my kids did that at 8 months and 5 months.

I always heard that when a baby reached 10 or 11 lbs, they would start sleeping through the night. It was definitely on target for my baby. I believe he started sleeping through the night at 11 lbs or a little over 2 months. He sleeps from 9pm until 7:30- 8am. Its different for every baby but many babies that I know of started sleeping through the night at 2 or 3 months.

It all depends on the baby. My oldest son was sleeping in 12 hours stretches(8-8) at 7 weeks, and my youngest is still not sleeping through the night, and he's almost 9 1/2 months.

My baby was always pretty good about sleeping for 4-5 hour stretches, but didn't start sleeping all night long until about 10 or 11 months. She is 1 year now and she generally sleeps from 7:30pm to 6:00 a.m. Good luck! I know it seems unbearable now to go that long without sleep, but it really does go by fast!

sleep through the night means when a baby can sleep around 8 hours non-stop. My baby girl does it since 6 months, she goes to bed at 6:45pm (early I know, and haven't been able to "push forward" her bedtime) and wakes at 5 am for a bottle, then sleeps until 615 am, and she's a clockwork

My son slept through the night (6 hours at a time, and later 8 hours) from 3 weeks on.

With my daughter it was 2 months and for my son it was about 4 months. Try feeding more at the bed time feeding. I used to put a little bit of rice cereal in the late night feeding it helped too.

10 pounds is USUALLY the magic number.

But there are other factors, including colic.

My son was 3 months before he slept through the night. My daugher was just 5 days old.
