It makes no sense to me when huge lawsuits (for example the one against the woman who downloaded songs that is the news) are filed against someone who will never have that kind of money. It 's like if someone sued me for millions, well they would never get it as I don't even make 10k a year. Why do people and companies waste their time suing for something they will never get?

Many people who sue tend to be " lawsuit happy" and greedy. They think that will get a large sum of dough but, probably not the amount that they are requesting ( depending on the case). Did you hear about the guy being sued by the State of Florida for feeding homeless people in a public park ??

It's greed. Plain and simple.

I don't think that woman could pay the $222,000 dollars. I know I couldn't. But $9200 a song is pretty excessive.
