Absolutely.
But that is not the sole reason. Libs revel in their extreme Hedonism. This requires that they believe that all cultures are equal. this puts them in the difficult position of endorsing any and all "choices." Thus, they must be against war, even when it protects their freedom, because the war threatens their idea of multiculturalism (i.e. rampant hedonism).

People, be they liberal or not, are typically against the situation in Iraq because they feel it was not justified for our troops to go invade another country, when the reasoning behind invading that other country had nothing to do with us having been attacked in New York City. Some believe in the efforts in Afghanistan, and many others also do not. Many are disillusioned by our troops putting their lives on the line, when there is no clear enemy we are fighting, and when we are assisting both sides in this effort, in the name of fighting a bigger enemy our government insists we have. Though if Osama Bin Laden started it with 9/11, many Americans want to know why Bush seems to think he isn't a threat anymore. Iraq is a religious civil war, and we stirred the pot too vigorously because we helped to release the tensed-up, hidden feelings between the various sects of Islam. We are now caught up in this, and there is no way to get out safely.
These people feel that Iraq was not a direct threat to our country, and they feel that our troops don't deserve to die over there needlessly.

It's not just liberals who are against this war anymore. Maybe in the beginning it was just liberals who opposed the war, but many more people are now angry that they were lied to and that the media were complicit. Heck, I hope a few newsies are angry that they bought Bush's bill of goods.
Maybe some of us are upset at the needless loss of life--almost 4,000 American soldiers and Gaia knows how many thousands of Iraqi civilians. And repeatedly capturing the number 3 or number 2 guy in al Qaeda. Maybe some of us see Bush mortgaging the future of today's kids and their as-yet unborn kids, and their kids for who knows how many generations. Maybe some of us are sick that he can spend billions on the war and on no-bid contracts, but there's not enough money to make sure poor and middle-class kids get health insurance or that we fix our infrastructure.

If you mean the Dictator Dumbya Big Lie Iraqi Crusade, it is wrong in every way it possibly could be, not the least of which is that it shot a trillion dollar hole in the American treasury which could have been spent for a PERMANENT technological answer for energy independence, health care for all, improved education and bridges that don't collapse. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Well since we haven't PAID for the war it doesn't take away from anything. And this liberal is against the war because of the NEEDLESS loss of AMERICAN lives. If you don't think it's needless just ask general Petraeus....
......."That was, of course, a non-answer. And Warner wasn't going to let the general dodge the bullet. He repeated the question: "Does the [Iraq war] make America safer?"
Petraeus replied, "I don't know, actually. I have not sat down and sorted in my own mind.""
Yep...that's at the cost of almost 4000 American soldiers and about a trillion dollars that WE DON'T HAVE yet...

We oppose the war for a number of reasons, and if you aren't aware of them by now (after 4 years of debate on the issue), you never will be.
Btw, funding of the war is not included in the budget, therefore the funding for the war in Iraq is in no way affecting any other government programs as it is funded separately.

Just liberals? Approximately 3/4 of the nation is against the war.
And why? Because military victories don't fix anything over there.

Personally, I'm against it because I haven't yet heard a reason for it that makes any sense to me.
