Call the doctor right now or take the baby to the emergency room right now. It is not necessarily serious -- I am not trying to scare you -- but, babies can get very sick very quickly and become dehydrated from fever very easily. A very young baby with a fever should absolutely be seen by a doctor right away. Keep the baby dressed as lightly as possible. You want the baby to be able to stay as cool as possible. Call the doctor right now or go to the hospital right now. Please.

Please dont panic, they are more resilient than you realise! the last thing you need to do when your baby is poorly is be stressed. they will respond to a calm environment.
Obviously that's a high fever so take your baby to the docs or if out of hours a call out doctor. Major warning signs are floppyness (More than normal! all baby's can be a bit floppy!) Odd colour, breathing changes, a rash (Do the glass test..)
If you notice any of these things go to A&E asap as they will see you straight away.
Keep your baby cool by sponging him/her with luke warm water and letting it airdry rather than wrapped in a towel, make sure they are drinking fluids as much as possible. keep him/her in just a nappy until they have been checked. Once they have the all clear (Which i am sure they will get) keep on to of the fever by keeping their room cool, minimum clothing and regular baths & calpol. We used to take my daughter out in the car with the windows down wearing just her nappy. Took the fever right off and enabled her to sleep!
Good luck and stay calm! xx

Call you Dr. but be prepared as they will send you to the ER. Do not delay and good luck.

My daughter had a temp when she was 2 weeks old and stayed in the hospital for a week.

Take him/her to a pediatrician. You can't second-guess fevers in babies that young.
