a chant is a simple song. All religions have chants.

It's not just the chant. It's the words, because that's how we communicate (so chanting in a language you don't know wouldn't work), and the energy sent out by the vibrations of the words. Just reciting something wouldn't work at all.

Nope they don't. You gotta do things like burn herbs and do something like a sacred dance, get on your knees. Run barefoot through a field. I have heard a million things that you should do if you really wanna make chants work.
