You have had some great answers! Many of you don't speak English as a first language, and therefore don't know that a colon is a part of the intestines. There are many names I think I would change if they were mine - I just received a spam email with the last name Colon and it made me wonder....

Not if I lived in Spain, where Colon is not pronounced like the body part. However, long ago I met someone whose real last name had been "MacanENEMA." The family had it legally shortened to Mack.True story.

There is a professional baseball player named Bartolo Colon. He pronounces it like "cologne" that men wear. I probably would not change it.

No, that would be too much money to spend on changing your last name.
I would only change my name if my parents named me "Michael Jackson" or something like that. Luckily, it's not lol.

No! its a puertorican last name, I'm peurtorican and my grandma used to have that last name but of course she got married i know many ppl with that last name. whats bad about it?

yes!!!! and by the way my father's actual last name was Butts!!! but thank GOD my mother gave me her last name instead!
