Unfortunately, there really is no true way to stop your period for hrs at a time.
There is a product called "Instead", it's a menstrual cup that you insert into your vagina, like you do with a tampon. It settles at your cervix, covering it and unlike tampons that absorb, the cup collects/holds the flow. You won't see your period, if used correctly. You can purchase it online or at a pharmacy.

I've been able to on occasion do this. What you need to do is if you have a detachable shower head, take a bath and while in the bath use that to thoroughly clean the inside of you. I've had mine stop for a few hours to a day or two by doing this. If you dont have a detachable shower head, lay under the tub faucet, also works. Make sure water temperature is just right before positioning yourself underneath it though.

Use Instead, it is a cup that acts sort of like a diaphram and collects menstrual blood. You really can't stop your period without a doctor's assistance (ie, you had a bleeding disorder). You can buy Instead in the pharmacy.

Sadly, no. I like to go to sleep and forget about it, but the next morning it's still there.
