i'm buying a dremel for my boyfriend. What is the best multi-use model to get? He would most likely use it for odds and ends jobs, working on his car, and maybe a lil wood-working. i don't want to get him a cordless one though. Thanks!

I just bought the kit on the link below about 3 weeks ago, and I'm very pleased with it...

Buy the multi-speed. Some applications do not need high speeds. Purchase the attachments and bits separately instead of paying for 100 bits in a kit that will never be used. I bought the one with the lesat amount of accessories and then purchased an accessory kit that had the things I would use most.

I have the single speed model 275 MultiPro with a cord and it works just fine for most things. You can also get a variable speed or multispeed model, which is good for working with materials that require a lower cutting speed like plastics.
The cordless models are ok, but I prefer the models with the cord.
