Contrary to what you guys say -
Allies offered $854 million in cash and in oil that was to be sold for cash. But only $40 million has been used so far for disaster victims or reconstruction, according to U.S. officials and contractors. Most of the aid went uncollected, including $400 million worth of oil. When Katrina hit, Cuba and Venuzuela both offered help and both were denied the opportunity. Countries we are "friendly" with were noticably silent...

Speaking from a Canadian point of view---it is hard to help somebody that refuses help when it is offered, (ie hurricane Katrina etc etc). your neighbors to the north have always been there when you needed it and always will be there, all you have to do is let us help
