Most women ovulate 12-16 days before their next period and sperm can live up to 5 days in the reprodutive tract. So, you could enter your fertile phase as far as 21 days before your period. If you have, say a 26 day cycle, that could possibly be as early as day 5. If your cycle is very short and/or your period is long, you could get pregnant while still on your period.

Yes. Some days are just easier then others. There are NO days that you are "safe" from getting pregnant without using birth control

It's rare, but it has been known to happen. Just because you've just had your period, does not mean that your body has not released another egg.
