If you have gained a lot of weight recently or have been under undo stress, then these can be factors which could cause this type of balding. Environmental factors such as the water used in shampooing and even the shampoo itself can cause this. Or even hair products such as gel or spray.

Hey,
There are many factors that can attribute to hair recession or massive hair fall and you need to find out which one exactly is responsible for the problem you are having now. Of course male pattern baldness is still the most common cause, but, for instance, if you are a woman things are deinitely different! This is the reason why you will need to really dig down and see the source of your problem.
Other causes of hair loss may include (both in men and women): severe mental or emotional stress, excessive use of coloring or bleaching agents, traction alopecia or excessive strain on the scalp due to braiding or corn rowing, hormonal changes, alopecia areata or hair loss due to autoimmune diseases, and many more. Each of these conditions will require a different approach in order to achieve success regardless of whether you're going to be using conventional or natural methods.
In my opinion it's much better to use natural methods as opposed to conventional ones, they're cheaper, have less to no side effects, and often more effective.
A good way of regaining your full head of healthy natural hair is well described on this guide: http://hairagain.toptips.org

Dude,
You might as well start facing the facts because it's not going to get any better. Most men go through some sort of balding in their lives. You're currently in the denial state and you need to get yourself into the acceptance. Maybe you shouldn't use your brain so much. They say that grass doesn't grow on a busy road.

Hmm, if you have no balding men in your family then it is really funny. I am balding, but all the men in my family are more or less balding with age so it is androgenetic alopecia what I have, I am sure about it. Just go and check with doc before getting on propecia or minoxidil.

Well if the girls knew this they might just be all over you. I have heard that when you loose hair in front you are a thinker and if it is in the back you are a good lover. But if it is all the way from front to rear you think you are a good lover. I would take it as you are a thinker and you are doing lots of study time burning the midnight oil.

Yes for a number of reasons.......hair grows when it has a good blood supply, hair doesn't when it hasn't and stress, blood pressure, illness, medications can all cause this......as well as genes which are present in your family if they have a receding hairline ( ex hairdresser).......just to let you know genes and genealogy are not the same

I was watching an episode of Oprah (yeah yeah, go ahead call me a loser I dont' mind lol) and she had this guy on the show to address men's health issues (Dr. Oz I think was his name) one of the things that inevitably came up was baldness. So what he said was that it actually has nothing to do with family history but everything to do with the production of...oh hell what was it called...haha! Guess what?!?! I found it on her website, have a look for yourself:
Just off the top of your head, do you know what causes hair loss?
To explain what really happens, Dr. Oz has to bust two hair loss myths. First, don't blame your mother. "Half of you is from your dad. Half of you is from your mom. The genes can come from either side," Dr. Oz says. Second, if you cut your hair short, it's not going to grow back faster. "That works for hedges. That is not going to work for us. The hair will grow a half an inch a month. That's the way it grows out."
Dr. Oz says hair loss really happens when two hydrogen molecules called DHT (dihydrotestosterone) attach to testosterone. "That poisons the hair follicles and causes them to change from making normal hair to this sort of peach fuzzy material, which is what going bald is all about," Dr. Oz says.
The amount of hair you lose also has to do with the weather. "Springtime, which is when your testosterone levels are actually at your lowest, is when you lose the least hair." he says.
Men have been desperate to hang onto their hair since the beginning of time, but forget about home remedies like baking soda or lemon. "Desperate men do desperate things," Dr. Oz says. "None of those home remedies, I repeat, none will work."
The only real solutions to hair loss, Dr. Oz says, are medications that block DHT production. "They don't put new hair on your head. They will help prevent the hair that's about to fall out from falling out," he says. "And because of that, since you're already normally growing hair, hair grows in different cycles, you'll actually sometimes feel like you have more hair on your head."
Hope that helps to answer your question!

There is such a thing as recessive genes. These genes don't show up for several generations sometimes, because they have to be paired up with a recessive gene from the other side. It is most likely hereditary, but recessive, and you just happen to be the Lucky Dude that got the gene from both sides.

Sounds like my story except my dad was bald. Welcome to the club. Bald is beautiful. It's no use trying to fight it.

did you switch hair care products around the time it started happening? For that matter, think back to around the time it started accellerating and see if you can think of anything changing that you do. Then let the doctor know about them.
