Boy this spamming from stepsedu.com is getting really tiring.

Anyway, you need more information for this problem. Is the $2500 in sales only from one week? Is the commission from individual sales only?

Ok - I'll assume that the comm on sales over $1000 for the month - and 2500 is the monthly sales:

200(4) + .15(2500-1000) = gross pay
800 + .15 (1500) = gross pay
800 + 225 = gross pay
1025 = gross pay (assuming 4 weeks in the month and that the figures were for one month).

If this is only for one week, then the first factor is 200 and the gross pay would be 200 + 225 = 425.

Hope that helps.

(2500 - 1000) x 0.15 + 200 = 225 + 200 = 425 dollars
