that will not work because of freedom. the last thing we need is illegal fritos and candy bars being sold under the table and the courts dealing with people who violated the law by eating ice cream. the enforcement is a nightmare.

We should continue to eliminate the most dangerous, unhealthy, or offensive things we do. Some day we will all live in bubbles. And how long will we live then? Every right, and freedom we surrender, we surrender for all future generations, until the oppression starts a revolution. And rights and freedoms are regained with blood.

We should resolve to mind our own business!

If people want to make junk food illegal why don't those people just stop eating it.

Oh wait...

That might be too hard for people to have to make a choice about something, Yep - better outlaw it so no choices will have to be made. (Im kidding of course)

Yeah and have gangs and other criminals making profit off of selling illegal funyuns and twinkies. Also its a free country, if you want to be fat then hey its your right! They should educate people on why its bad for you but prohibition never works.

welcome to the nanny state. the got started with cigarettes and legally owned guns. now it is opened up to anything they want to go after.

Nah, it should be a penny a calorie. With a surtax for ingredients that require a chemistry degree to deciper.

You could just stop eating the stuff, you know.

Sure if you want government too control everything that we do. Or if you believe that they should stay out of our business. That's like taxing smokers at a high rate just because they smoke.
