Hydrogen.

For example, as seen below, when Hydrochloric Acid reacts with Sodium, Hydrogen is substituted by Sodium, forming Sodium Chloride (table salt) and two Hydrogen atoms form a Hydrogen molecule:

2HCl + 2Na --> 2NaCl + H2
