What would you do for poetry if words would lose their meaning?

I would still enjoy the poetry of clouds, cats, storms, etc.. Words are only one of many simple tools that artists use to try to capture the poetry that is already all around us.

There isn't much that could be done. But the loss of words' meaning would be far worse for communication in general than for poetry,since it's a form of art and art is a luxury. As for communication,it's fundamental and one can't live properly without using it. Don't worry about poetry: if you ever lose it,you'll have thousands of poems that have already been done - and have a meaning.
