B is 0 for 1 for a .000 avg

overall A is 201 for 700 for a .287 avg
B is 199 for 601 for a .331 avg

No, impossible.
Example:
2006
Ichiro .350
A-Rod .349

2007
Ichiro .250
A-Rod .249

Average for two years: Ichiro .300; A-Rod .299

shoot, in the cases above it is possible, was assuming he was looking for comparable at bats. Not one guy only having 1 at bat for an entire season. My bad. So Yes it is true.
