Butterfly by Corinne Bailey Rae makes me want to cry. I manage to hold it in though whenever I hear it. It's a song for her mom, it's so sweet.

Tears in Heaven. My 9 month old baby was going into major brain surgery, and when the nurse took him from me, that song was playing in the pre-op room. That was 15 years ago, and to this day I refuse to listen to it. I'd be an emotional wreck.

Okay...I'm gonna give you a bit of history first :P
When we were together, my ex almost killed someone while driving drunk...got arrested...in jail for a year. i stayed with him, but he still ended up destroying our marriage.
so when i heard the song "my immortal" by evanescence on the radio...it was all the parts about me being there for him that made me cry...not the part about him still having "all of me"...cos he has no holds on my heart at all. (good riddance, you know?)
it was just the memory of being there for him and then getting tossed aside. that kinda bummed me out :P

Tears in Heaven. Eric Clapton. It makes me sad because of the reason he wrote it. For his son that had a horrible death. I think son.
