Is it right for the Filipino community to prompt angry protests towards the so called "racial slur" address towards Med professions and the former President Corazon Aquino?

nobody is racist by nature, it is learned through time either taught by other people (parents, media) or they develop their hate through experiences with different races. White people are not the only racists in this country, so think twice before you generalize and come off as racist yourself.

Sure protest while your at it take everything that could be construed as racist or negative out of all of the media. Let's just make all television shows completely politically correct. If television shows did not have controversial things happen then who would watch them. If all whites are racist by nature as some of you believe why not represent that in the media.
Not all whites all racist! Maybe we should just not talk about racism after all ignoring it probably is the best way to correct the problem and spread knowledge to our children right. We have to discuss racism for the future of our country. I don't want my children to be racist but I want them to be aware that it does exist and that it is the result of ignorance. One race is not responsible for all racism. I'm stand for equality people should be treated the same way. I don't know about the Philipines but I do know that in some countries degrees do not transfer. As my mother-in-law is friends with someone from the dominican republic that was a nurse there who no longer is now that she has moved here.

Your question is so... wrong....

We all prefer people, whomever we are, to be like "ourselves"

I have many friends that are of a different race than myself, and I like them for who they are. At the same time, we tend to have things in common, either church, kids, work, or neighborhhood activities.

But the comment about medical schools in (place third world nation here) isn't racist, it is about class, status, wealth and perception that if it isn't American, (or first world economically) then it is suspect.

And frankly, a med school in the Philippines is not as good as Harvard medical of John Hopkins or Duke, or Baylor Medical.
That isn't racist, that is an aspect of money, prestige, technology, and education.

No. but all Americans are bigots by "nature". Being a bigot is sort of embedded in our culture, whether our bigotry is aimed at white people, black people, fat people, skinny people, people with curly hair, blondes or whatever. We all have our bias.

Yes they are, the ones that are not racist had to learn not to be that way. Very few whites are raised not to be racists.

Unfortunately I am noticing as we blacks move into our own in this country we are now starting to adopt this ugly trait as well.

Whenever, I hear blacks talking racist, I walk away from them or I correct them.
