MySpace is so yesterday.
And yes the myspace admins could if they wanted to. People could guess your password, you could leave yourself signed in and the next person to sit at that computer could access it. Could get hacked in a myriad of different ways. All sorts of ways. Trojans also pose a threat, especially to myspace kiddies cuz they have no idea how to use computers safely.
Rule: If you don't want others to know what you think, don't say or write it. Especially on teh internets.

Yes. Yes of course - anything you do or put into cyberspace can and probably will be accessed by other people. This is a public facility, and you have no right to privacy. Even the limited rights you might expect or be assured of are meaningless because it does not take a whole lot of skill or knowledge to get into most peoples' files, websites, or personal information. Some of that activity is illegal, but finding a department willing to take jurisdiction over it is difficult, identifying the culprit is even more difficult, proving the act was criminal is even more difficult, and basically - nobody cares unless you're a multi-million dollar record company who can pay the price to get someone to take you seriously. Advice - don't put anything you would not want your Grandmother to read on the internet, and don't share information you wouldn't give to your worst enemy. It can and generally will come back to haunt you. Play nice, be a gentleman.

Depends on what you mean by people.
The people running those servers can, and no its not illegal.
People guessing at really common passwords can and its still usually not illegal altho they can get booted off of the system for it
People who send out emails and such pretending to be official and asking you to visit a web page and put in your info can if you ever did that, and it is illegal

actually yeahh
even if you have your profile set on private
many spamers get your password and your email through a fake myspace page.
but also
there some people who work for myspace, and they have permissions to scan all of your conversations
the purpose of doing this is so that they can show propaganda that would interest you
and nope, that ain't illegal
if you read the terms when you sign up on myspace, you'd notice all that.

its people hacking and crap it is illegal but the only thing you can do is be careful about where you enter your myspace information at. sometimes if you go to a profile pics or even certain profile it will ask you to enter your email and password and all that but you just did it that is ussually how they get in your account. I belive Tom explained it on myspace already

No, they can't unless they have your password. They COULD get in if they were a spammer. Spammers get in your account then post bulletins advertising fake things. (These scammers are usually robots anyways.) So make sure you never give your password out, or if a website other than myspace asks for your password, don't give it out. And no, it's not illegal, but they're trying to make it be.

No, I have heard you shouldn't download the Myspace short-cut. People who use your computer can spy on what ever you write if you have that short cut and if you computer is logged on to your name.
All they need to do is log into Myspace and the pass word will be stored.

If you are talking by comments than yes. But if you are talking by messages the only way they could was if they hacked onto yours or your buddy's myspace.
