My guess is that because of the many reports received from this site Yahoo is on it, checking everything and everyone.

IF you arent getting your ""best answer emails right away it means its your turn under the microscope.

IF they pop into your email a day later or so it means you have been cleared. Or at least that is how it seems to be working and what I was told. Doesnt bother me, I have nothing to hide.

Everytime I open this site it says "darn no questions have been asked, you can be the first" or something to the effect. So I have to hit refresh.

My emails are delayed, I have had emails saying "oh you are still talking to me ! I was wondering/worried because I hadnt heard from you..." and I HAD answered, it just took several days to get through for some reason.

Has anyone thought of asking Yahoo for emoticons? I need those darn things, I feel challenged without them.

I know yesterday I was really having trouble. Yahoo kept telling me that they were taking a break, and nothing would come up. Then it said there were no more questions, why didn't I ask one, and I was only on the second page, so I knew there were more questions. So I just kept backing up and it finally straighten itself out.
I also noticed today that Goldwing is no longer top contributor in the Senior category. I don't think that he really cares..It looks like some lady named Y!arnlady (who dabbles mainly in art & crafts forum) comes occaisionally to Seniors and got herself best answers in our catagory, and pushed Goldwing out.
Some people have elected to "try" to change their Avators and for some reason Yahoo, can not get it done. I know Lady G has been complaining for some time now that she is faceless. And others are having problems too. The computer has run amuck. Maybe we should all call it HAL!!!!

Who knows buddy. I logged on and tried to go to my contacts Qs and the message said I didnt have any contacts.
I notice a few old regulars with new names and faces and the troll is still at it.
I think I will just go over to my 360 for a while and stay until Yahoo can get this whole mess sorted out.
I tried to change my avatar and name and have a fresh start but it wont change my avatar. Its very very frustrating to say the least.
I would say we are just as confused as you are mate. Hang in there.

It's not just you, I think I stayed confused anymore. Questions I answer just disappear and my avatar with my new haircut will go everywhere else, but refuses to set foot on Y/A. I see other avatars look one way on the question page and change when I go to answer their question. I'm beginning to wonder if all this new fangled, computer, cyber space stuff is just to much for a little mt. gal from West Virginia.......

My picture changes, my name changes, sometimes the site will save changes and others not and Y!arnlady is the top contributer with 10 best answers . . Sometimes there are no questions here the first time I click on a link. It's either gremlins or the GIGO effect.

I think everyone is in the same boat. I usually just wait and whatever mysterious problem happens just maybe goes away...if not I have a meltdown `cause I can`t go a day without my computer. It`s worse than when I smoked.

Common place in Cyber Space. I looked at my ID one day and it was my E address, here in YA--I went immediately and changed it back to Lilabner. How, I'm clueless, it just appeared. Some of the ladies have changed their names lately but I think they did it on purpose. I have not had any problem with mail. I do occasionally try to come to YA and it says we're taking a coffee break try back later please. Just hang in it is Yahoo glitches. ;0) If you ever think Yahoo is nuts, go MSN that could drive you crazy. When MSN was my provider they would constantly change something and I could not even get on the internet--I had a neighbor kid in NC that would hack into my computer and fix it--I talked to 34 MSN tecs and not one of them could fix my problems. Kept all of their names written down. I think it will fix itself soon.

I think Yahoo is working on the site attempting to improve it. Temporarily it seems to be in limbo occasionally. Hope it clear up soon. But have been having problems for three days myself. Fairly often shows no questions at all in seniors.

I have not idea, Teal. I am still the same person, makeitright and it says so on my avatar; yet, when I post a question or answer, it lists me as "daisyduker" which was a very old name I once used to honor my pet who died. Her name was Daisy Duker, a pet dachshund, actually not mine but my daughters. I was just really close to her. So, if they persist in calling me this, I guess I will have to let it be until it is fixed. I seem to be able to send mail, but cannot tell if anyone has sent me one or not. I allow email. I am also very very curious about this.

See, here is am as daisyduker, not makeright, but my screen says I am makeitright. Weird.

Look up Yahoo MASH, That may help to answer your question. There is talk of Yahoo shutting 360 down and replacing it with the new MASH. Hope it helps.
