Hi. The cable modem has a connector that fits into the back input port. There are 4 output ports. These use an RJ45 cable. One end goes into the router and one goes into your computer. Shut down the computer, router, and modem. Wait 60 seconds. Plug in to modem until it is completely up, then your router, then the PC. Good luck!
