Actually nutritionists are very helpful and professional. Most are able to divorce their personal preferences from the problem you are encountering. They also are knowledgeable about the interaction of diet with certain health concerns. They are healthcare professionals and one should be suspect of any advice to the contrary that they do not know what they are talking about, you can get the same information from the internet, or they "promote an ominivore diet". These are credentialed, knowledgeable people as opposed to uncredentialed persons flying by the seat of their pants. VicStevens' story is a common one, but the nutrtionists tried to find an optimum diet. It really isn't easy and those that seem to be doing well on a vegan diet often have severe and chronic health concerns showing up later in life. Well-balanced, moderate diet, exercise, and meditation. A winning combination AND you can enjoy life worry free.

Vegans aren't necessarily healthy people. They can still eat foods that are high in fat/sodium/calories. Obviously he's not eating the right kind of vegan food. Anyway, you know what they say if you can't do, teach. Just cause he may not practice what he preaches doesn't mean he's not knowledgeable.

seriously, yes i would..
i wont be prejudiced, because in the first place when we seek professional advices, it means we are looking for technical help, help based on knowledge from people with certificates. i think its her choice to stay that way or prolly she is just like me too who doesnt have the discipline and self control, which most of us are. take the constructive advice but leave those uncontructive ones behind.

I would rather risk my life checking the recipes of a skinny chef. LOL ;o)
Just kidding.
Best of luck. Go for it, if the credentials are right I don't see anything wrong with her advice.

Take Care and God Bless you.

i guess if an "unattractive" woman sold Avon skin care, people probablee wud be less likely to buy it, altho it had nothing to do weth the product itself! i cent soley say, on a persons weight, wether or not their nutritional knowledge is incorrect. perhaps if a thin person gave nutrition advice, an said it werked for them, i might be more believing, but still, theres other reasons for being thin than gud nutrition knowledge, genes or pure luck for example! ♥

No. Accepting nutritional advice from someone overweight would be like accepting parenting advice from Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Baby if she is an overweight anything I would not take her professional advice concerning nutrition!
I believe in practice what you preach !
If a pet care specialist has all of his fish die I certainly wouldn't allow him to tell me how to take care of my aquariums! lol
