I am receiving both is there anybody who can give me advice on what to do?

Yes, you can be on both. If your Social Security payments are still not enough to live on, you may qualify for welfare benefits.

You need to be honest in the welfare paperwork and report all of your income so that the correct amount of assistance is paid to you.

For Working Mom--I'm glad that you are so hardworking, but the elderly and disabled have a little tougher time making ends meet. I hope you don't find yourself in that situation.

It would seem that you are not claiming the money from SS if you are able to get welfare. A call to SS would answer your question anonymously. I realise you probably don't really want an answer if it goes against you, but fraud carries some stiff fines and penalties.

You can get both at the same time, they are both income-dependent. If you are under the income limits, you receive both.
