I don't know whether or not these are teen books but I can tell you of a few books I really enjoyed as a teen:

Orsan Scott Card wrote two books that I REALLY LIKED and still love: they are Lost Boys and Treasure Box. Lost boys is more of a touching story that has a hint of the supernatural, but it is NOT about romance, I guess it is a bit about love, but it is family love and the innocent love of a child. Treasure box has a little bit of a love story in it, but it is not focused around that, you will be hard pressed to find a book with NO LOVE WHATSOEVER, so good luck in your search... well, to my knowlege the Ender's Game series (also by Orsan Scott Card) is free of too much love, but then again I read those books a long time ago, so I may not remember, but those are really good books if you haven't read them

You could also lean toward the horror genre, Stephen King has written some pretty good books, if you are into that kind of stuff

You can go with some older books, Robert Ludlum wrote some pretty good ones. I would suggest from him the Bourne series and the Paris Option

You can also go for more recent action books by authors like Robert Sandford and Koontz.

Another Author I LOVED (and still love) is John Grisham. I read ALL of his books in high school and they are great. They are for the most part law based action stories and they are great! If I were you I would actually start from the first novel he wrote (I believe it is A Time To Kill) and just go throught them all, they are awesome books

If none of these sound appealing you can always go for Classics. I have learned to love them. Most of them are romances, but my personal favorite classic is without that. It is The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, you can also read Treasure Island by the same author.

Oh yeah, you can also read some of those history based books that were popular a few years back if you haven't already: the Historian, The Rule of Four, and Dan Brown's books are all great

Hope this was helpful

-Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo.
-Gilda Joyce series by Jennifer Allison.
-Enola Holmes series by Nancy Springer.
-May Bird triology by Jodi Lynn Anderson.
-The Power of Five series by Anthony Horowitz.
-The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke.

Harry Potter, hahahaha, just kiddin'.
It depends what you mean by Teenbooks. I mean, I'm a teen, and I like a lot poetry. And the whole collection of Edgar Allan Poe, though, you have to analyze them to get them (short stories and poems). Also Hemming way has a great way to write, he's very descriptive. Or ask in libraries, they always can help you, they are supposed to know.

My daughter reads those 'Sisterhood of the travelling Pants' books. I don't know if there's any romance in them or not, though. I haven't read them.

Also, those Harry Potter books seem to be popular.

Try the Goosebumps series, by RL Stein. They're mystery stories aimed specifically at young teens.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
By Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

I read this book my first year of highschool and it opened my eyes to the degredation and terror of the American dream. A must read for any teen.
