after this season is over the Bears will be looking to get a quarterback, Brian will most likely finish the season which is as good as over for the Bears. Rex Grossman is on his final year of his contract and will be a free agent this offseason, I hope the Bears draft a QB in the first round but they will probably settle for a free agent QB that wont be very good, unless McNabb is in the picture for Chicago then we have hope.

I sure hope so. The problem is you could put anyone back there right now and he would not do well. First of all Cedric Benson is awful, so there is no running game. That goes for the 5 blocks of silly putty that the Bears call an offensive line as well. They had a chance to get McNabb in the offseason and didn't do it. Jerry Angelo should be ashamed of himself, going into the season with an aging and bad offensive line, a terrible quarterback, and a horrible running back that does not hit the hole.

a smarter coach??? Lovie Smith was Coach of the Year in 05, led his team to the super bowl in 06, so lets fire him in 07, right? Thats about the dumbest thing I ever heard. They need a QB and a RB, and some replacement parts on the O-line. Another WR would be helpful, but Berrian and Bradley are pretty good. Everyone is jumping the gun.

The big problem in the Chi, as evidenced by Griese's Grossmanesque star, is receiver route running... get a new receiver's coach (like whoever the Pats have), and a new qb coach... strong arms and inexperience (like Grossman) make for big plays and interceptions... Grossman needs someone to really work on his adaptability and perception... instead, he gets a play, runs it as drawn, and can't adapt to the pass defense... fix those two small problems I mentioned, and his confidence and game will go through the roof (a la Tom Brady)

Seriously, they need more than just a quarterback. They need a Offensive line that will actually block, a running back that will run, and recievers that will run the routes as planned.
It's not all about how bad Rex or Brian is...A quarterback can only do so much.
