Flies land on the ceiling by flying close to it, sticking their front pair of legs above and in front of their heads (a la Superman), and grabbing onto the ceiling as they fly under it. Their inertia causes them to do a half-backflip, pivoting around their front legs. They then grab hold with their middle and back legs. They have sticky based hairs to grasp any surface.

They simply turn upside down, defy gravity and cast off all the logical ideas behind aerodynamics, Bernoullies principals and hyper-dynamics and then just land. It's easy for them cause they were never told they couldn't. Merry Christmas.

I know they use surface tension to stick to the ceiling but I to have wondered if they do a Barrel Roll or Loop the Loop to get on there.
