Ovulation cycles are not nessisarily exact with all women, but usually between the 12th and 17th days are prime times. The discharge that comes with ovulation, if noticed at all, is thick and milky white. The more ready you are, the thicker it gets. The best way to know though, is to buy an ovulation detector, available in most stores. A good , natural way to know, is to notice how you feel emotionally. If you are feeling realy good (and sexy), this is your own bodys way of letting you know. Excuse my expression, but, its like an animal being in heat. Its natures way!

The first poster is not correct on many points. Women usually ovulate about 14 days before their next period starts. But anywhere from 10-16 days is still normal. So your cycles are 29 days and on monday you were on CD14, that means that CD 1 was 9/18 and your next period is due on 10/17. Count back 16 days from the 17th and you get Monday, CD14. So ovulation should occur sometime between CD14-CD20 with CD 16 being the most likely date of ovulation.
About 2 days before ovulation happens your cervical mucus turns clear and stretchy. It looks like raw eggwhites. It is not white or thick or sticky--this is infertile mucus and actually kills sperm.
Within a few hours after ovulation your fertile mucus, the raw eggwhite stuff, dies up quickly.
So based on the info you gave, it sounds like you did time intercourse properly and you have a good chance of conceiving this cycle. Baby Dust!!!!

Dont forget sometimes you know sperm that is left over comes out too after intercourse sometimes that day or the next day, so it could be the discharge or the sperm. If you and your husband had intercourse around your ovulation times then you have a better chance now. Good luck!!
