Lean sideways while pulling your ear gently up and back. This should loosen the water and allow it to run freely. If that doesn't do it, you can take a blow dryer that has a cool setting and do the "pull" maneuver again while allowing the air to dry the ear canal.

DO NOT USE QTIPS! Tilt your head to the side where the water is and use a hair dryer on LOW, another thing is there are drops used for Swimmers ear that also work for this situation, these drops will prevent any water from sitting in the ear canal eventually that can cause you pain and an infection. I know this b/c i suffer from ear problems and this is the best method that i have found and confirmed with my ENT specialist.

Lay on your bed and have someone pour a little peroxide (not quite a cap full) in your ear, hold it there for a while and turn over and let drain out. Be sure to have a towel under your head. Repeat the steps in the other ear if needed.

try not to get it in there in the first place...my mom told me to hop on the opposite foot of the ear the water is in, and tilt ur head to the side...it looks funny, but it works! or just stand up and bend at the waist and let gravity do its thing!

"Shake it to the left, shake it to the right, do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around." If that doesn't work, have a little Grandchild jump up on your back and bounce you all around!

I use cotton swabs. I suspect a doctor would disapprove.
