The dems are offering nothing more than Socialism or Commuinism. Take your pick, right?
Why are people so quick to jump on the band wagon? Can they not see what is really going on? Do they not understand that Clinton and Obama want to control EVERYTHING you do?!?! Why would any "American" vote for that?
Is this not "the land of the free"? Yet we all MUST have the same everything. Make everything equal. Then what is there to work for? People work hard to have nice things and a nice life, if the government starts preventing that then what?
I just don't understand how people can be persauded so easily. Are they really that simple minded?

At the end of the day we are all just Americans.
And real Americans like having choices.
Ever stand at the post office or DMV and wait in line downtown in a large city? That's universal health care. I get free health care through the VA, where only a small percentage of the population actually gets health care, and I have to wait 2 MONTHS in advance to get seen by a specialist!! You have to wait 2 hours to get seen in their ER. Do you REALLY want that?

The bleeding hearted liberal elite are all about labels, and since the dominant media culture, aka CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, et al as well as 99% of the newspapers are now well trained in the liberal labeling system, this is really the straw that stirs the drink.
It's no longer important what a thing really is, what is now important is the label that the bleeding hearted liberal establishment places on the person, place, or thing. The libs have seen that the labels "Socialist" or "Communist" don't play well with the voters, so now the label of choice is "entitlements", "tax the rich" and "universal healthcare". Sort of like "pro-choice" and "abortion" are the labels put on infanticide and murder in the womb.
I don't think it's simple mindedness on the part of the people so much as that most people in this country are marinating 24/7 in bleeding hearted liberal rhetoric. After 4 decades of that it's easy to change a person's entire perception now by merely changing the label affixed to it, then announcing the new label via the compliant dominant liberal media culture.

Look at it this way: they think all Republicans only offer war, and this other party is claiming to fix all of America's problems. They certainly won't vote Republican if all they think they're getting is war. I don't think the Democrat's plan will work, if they win the house and the presidency. I think it will be a total disaster, but if they want to win, they have to propose some type of plan or platform. Seeing as how they rarely propose to do anything, they're grabbing for straws, and free health care sounds like a nice one.

You sound like a good conservative Republican! I agree with you wholeheartedly.Nowdays it seems most people want everything handed to them with no effort on their part! This country was built on hardworking people who didn`t expect everything to be given them free! Of course Capitalism is not free of faults either. It will try to get as much out of the working class as it can without remuneration. Think of slavery that was practiced here for many years! All work and no pay! That was not fair in any way and was done away with much to our betterment.

I think both parties are stead fast to a large government.
Conservative ideas intrust a small government but I don't see small government being pushed by this or any Administration in recent memory. The Dems just seem to take it to the extreme.
Limited Government is what this country was founded with. We need to get back there. Right now we have TOO MUCH Government, Rep and Dem. TOO MUCH!

Sounds like you are listening to a republican base radio/tv show and getting your information. There is no democratic group that wants to take away your money. If you are talking about health care for everyone it will help out all rich and poor.
Some facts you should know. Most health care providers will do whatever it takes to deny you coverage. I know alot of elderly Americans who lost their entire savings because of health care. This is not right. Why should a older American save all their lives and have it taken away because of health reasons? Secondly this so call perscription savings for the elderly is a hoax. Do you know you must spend over $2000 on RX for it to be benefitical to you. What a scam.
Also consider the 180 billion a year tax needed to pay for the iraq war. Why should I pay for some iraqis.

Oh yet Bush is the one that has taken Freedoms in the name of protecting us from "Terror" He is documented as saying that a Dictator is fine as long as he is the dictator.
He has committed more impeachable & sicking offences then any other president ever. The economy is a bloody mess.
Also do you really think we're safe from terror or terrorist? We can't even keep our southern border secure and keep the Mexicans out! You don't think they could just fly into Mexico get everything they need there and just stroll across the border and blow you to bits.
Wake up. We need to stop the Republican Democrat BS. We need to see them all as what they are. CROOKS. The Corporations run this country with lobbyist & the all might dollar. Politicians do not give 2 craps about you. They will vote to the highest bidder or be slaves to the party.

What we have is a two party system, both being controlled by special interests and campaign funding and god knows what else. Our government is corrupted and has slid into a precipice of deceit and lies. We need to regain control or the Constitution is in danger of disappearing.

During my days as a Psychiatric Nurse, I often heard similar questions from patients who were quite angry that the staff "refused to see" those pink elephants, flying monkeys, neon spiders, or whatever it was bedeviling those unfortunate people. YOU may believe that militant cadres of evil liberals are plotting to establish a totalitarian state and eliminate private property (not to mention forcing you to commit homosexual acts, renounce your faith, have an abortion you don't want, and drink soy milk) -- but most of the world believes something else.
